EARLY HATCHER PUBLIC UNVEILING

The following pictures are from the Unveiling of the Early Hatcher turtles at the Sunset Saturday Night event on Ocean Drive April 9th.  Hundreds of people stormed the stage following the unveiling to get a first hand look at the beautifully decorated 6' sea turtle replicas.  They are currently on display at their sponsor locations that include Proctor Construction at Humiston Park, Norris & Company Real Estate, Northern Trust Bank and Rock City Gardens.

Turtle Artist Sharon Sexton (center) and her turtle “Ridley in the Garden”, are joined by County Commissioner Sandra Bowden (left) and City Councilman Tom White (right) at the Mental Health Association Early Hatcher Unveiling held at the April Sunset Saturday Night.  Hundreds came out to inspect the first four turtles which are now resting comfortably at their sponsor locations. Sexton and co-artist Glenda Taylor’s turtle was sponsored by Rock City Gardens in Wabasso.  Other Early Hatcher sponsors and turtle locations include Proctor Construction at Humiston Park and Norris & Company Real Estate, both on Ocean Drive, and Northern Trust located on the corner of Beachland Boulevard and AIA.
